Half Day Blacksmithing Course
This is ideal taster session for complete beginners or for student’s deciding if they would like to book for regular sessions, as you will get a great opportunity to feel what it’s like to be in a working artistic blacksmithing business.
Half Day Course
No experience necessary and is the perfect tester session to whether you would like to book a longer course next time!
The morning course 10am – 1pm. The Afternoon course 1pm - 4pm.
Please be aware that course can over run a little!
Price is £150 one to one tuition or £250 for a couple to share the session.

One Day Blacksmithing Course

The second half is student led, design and forge your idea into metal! I will teach you the appropriate techniques for you to accomplish your creative project. (within reason!)

Two Day Blacksmithing Course
The first day is spent with you learning various Blacksmithing techniques whereby you will forge several items until you feel confident and happy.
You will have an induction to all workshop machinery and included is welding and plasma cutter lessons. The second day is student led, design and forge your idea into metal! I will teach you the appropriate techniques for you to accomplish your creative project (within reason!).
You will have full use of all machines and tools within the workshop to create your practical vision.
The times! 10am – 4pm on both days.

One Week Blacksmithing Course
The first day is spent with you learning various Blacksmithing techniques whereby you will forge several items until you feel confident and happy.

The third day is spent learning more Blacksmithing techniques in order to create your own set of tongs.
The last two days are used for you to create a piece of furniture, sculpture or something of your choice.
This 5 day course can be treated as introductory session leading to College or University. This will extend your portfolio for interview selection and you will be presented with a certificate that is recognised at Hereford Blacksmithing College (unfortunately it is not credited).
For those looking to pursue this as a career this course will offer an all round understanding of running an Artist Blacksmithing business.
You will have full use of all machines and tools within the workshop to create your practical vision.

Once a Month Blacksmithing Course
This course offers students to build and develop their skill set as I introduce a variety of Blacksmithing and sculpture techniques each lesson.
These once-a-month courses work exceptionally well for college and home educated students too.
They build up their confidence, technical skills, and portfolio, which can help to take this further, whether it’s for applying to college or university, or even to set up their own business!
Over the duration I incorporate art, design, maths, engineering, blacksmithing, running a business, being creative and having fun!
Spectrum powers are very welcome as I have ADHD and Dyslexia, which help me to be unique and run my business!

Learn to Weld Course
I use a Mig welding to teach basic welding, providing a range of exercises for applying to a range of different situations.
I have had students in the past bring in their own welder here for practicing with and learning about the settings, replacing parts and welding maintenance.
Personal projects are encouraged to be the focus of the session.
I teach MIG welding and Arc/Stick welding for use on mild steel.
Welding lessons are by the hour between 10am – 4pm.
£50 per hour One to one tuition.
This includes all the metal required for practicing and if need for a personal project.
